Ringed Claymore

Ringed Claymore or RC: 

I always found double edged blades fascinating. Even though their utility is somewhat limited, their effectiveness is unquestioned. Depending on the size they can solve a multitude of problems, and they are very effective with the symmetric double edge and spear point blade. The name of this blade was inspired by the legendary Scottish double edge fighting swords. The ringed claymore levels up my original claymore design and aims for the professional community. The symmetric shape and centerline ring design creates a weapon retention tool which is completely ambidextrous. The skeleton handle construction and optional wrap makes this tool optimal to use in conjunction with firearms in case the need arise. The handle provides ample space for a full grip with or without gloves. Due to the completely symmetric design, the operator has the ability to literally place it anywhere and in any position on his/her gear, and be able to deploy and effectively use the RC. 

Wear it inside your boot, under your shirt, on your duty belt or plate carrier the Ringed Claymore will not let you down. In a large city, on the trail or in a combat zone, this lightweight defensive blade is the best companion to travel with.   

Every RC is equipped with an indexing groove close to the guard.  These blades are hand ground and to ensure proper kydex fit, the indexing groove shall be on the same side as the eyelets of the kydex sheath. 

The production version is made out of 52100 steel heat treated to the optimal 60-61HRC Range for toughness, and edge retention.
